Today we launched the mobile version (beta) of our website as a Web Application for iPhone and Android.
To put the web app on your Home screen, just open the web app on your iPhone or iPad, tap the plus sign, and then tap “Add to Home screen.” A Web Clip will be added to your Home screen automatically for easy, one-tap access.
Initially we offer Web Applications (web apps) for the iPhone, iPad and Android mobile devices.
Web apps combine the power of the Internet with the simplicity of Multi-Touch technology on mobile phone or tablets. Typically web apps are websites designed specifically for mobile device browsers.
Web applications use web documents written in a standard format such as HTML (and more recently XHTML), which are supported by a variety of web browsers.
Generally, each individual web page is delivered to the client as a static document, but the sequence of pages can provide an interactive experience, as user input is returned through web form elements embedded in the page markup. During the session, the web browser interprets and displays the pages, and acts as the universal client for any web application, providing a great user experience on a mobile platform.
